of Real Estate in Turkey by Foreign Nationals The purchase
of Turkish real estate by a foreign national is allowed based on the existence
of mutuality between the two countries. However there are restrictions as to the
location of the property to be bought : Foreign nationals
cannot acquire property within the boundaries of Turkish villages which is not
a munacipility area or within military zones. Any land or
farm outside the boundaries of villages, bigger than 74 acres, can be acquired
with special permission from the Turkish Government. However,
properties within the munacipility areas of towns and villages and can be easily
purchased. |
